The corporation has proposed to hold at least 5 Regional Film Festivals in the state at different placed during this financial year through local cultural organizations and concerned district administrations.  During 2015-16 (May, 2015) one “International Childrens’ Film Festival” was held at Balangir with the help of IFFO.  Similarly, during 2016-17 (April, 2016), IFFO, Balangir had organized the 2nd “International Childrens’ Film Festival” and in May, 2016 M/s. Lahari Entertainment, Baragarh had organized a National Level Short Film Utsav in collaboration with the OFDC.  An old Odia film festival at Berhampur with the help of Mahendra Kala ‘O’ SahityaSansada was held from 26.11.2016 to 28.11.2016.  Besides the above, the   10th “SmrutiChhaya” Odia film festival at Bhubaneswar by Film Journalist Forum (FFF) was held on 08.07.2016 in collaboration with the OFDC and State Culture Department.

During the year 2019-20, NFDC has organized a film festival at Goa during the period from 20.11.2019 to 28.11.2019 wherein four day i.e. from 20.11.2019 to 24.11.2019 was earmarked as Film Bazaar.  OFDC and Tourism Department have jointly hired a pavilion in the Film Bazaar to put forth different beautiful, virgin location of the state for attracting different film personalities to avail this along with different incentives as was formulated under the Film Policy.  To increase the awareness among the different personalities of the state, U.C.C.C. has nominated eight members of the state who have also participated in the festival so organized by the Govt. of India.  To meet different queries and for better suggestions, OFDC has deputed three persons to participate in the function i.e. Managing Director and Chairman along with the Director, Tourism.
