a) This corporation has devised this scheme for extending loan to the entrepreneurs for construction of Janata and Rural cinema halls in the state. Besides, the corporation is extending loan for renovation and remodeling of existing cinema halls.

By the end of 2018-19, the corporation has sanctioned loan of Rs.49.25 lakhs for construction of 52 nos. of new Janata and Rural Cinema Halls.  Besides, the corporation has sanctioned Rs.61.48 lakhs to 34 nos. of Cinema Halls for renovation of existing cinema houses.

During the year 2019-20 (30th Nov. 2019), the corporation has not sanctioned any loan to any entrepreneur but the corporation has proposed to sanction 04 nos. of cinema houses in the state for Rs.38.00 lakhs (Rs.30.00 lakhs for new cinema house and Rs.8.00 lakhs for renovation of existing cinema houses). 

b) Subsidy To Cinema Halls (Refund Of E.T.)

In respect of new cinema houses, the amount collected by way of Entertainment Tax excluding surcharge tax on exhibition of advertisements and show tax for first two years after its commissioning were given as subsidy to the concerned cinema halls through the Odisha Film Development Corporation Ltd. as per the rules approved by the State Govt. from time to time.
    
By end of 2018-19, the corporation had sanctioned Rs.46.64 lakhs towards subsidy to 18 cinema houses. 

During the year 2019-20 (30th Nov. 2019), the corporation has not sanctioned any subsidy to any entrepreneur but the corporation has proposed to sanction Rs.4.00 lakhs to 03 nos. of cinema houses towards refund of ET.
